SiteSell.com Brings Power of Web 2.0 to Small Business

Montreal, Quebec, Canada (PRWEB) August 30, 2007

SiteSell.com , the originator of Site Build It! and champion of using quality content to drive small business sites, today takes Web 2.0 to new heights. For the first time, small businesses can make it easy for their visitors to craft original Web pages including photos and captions. Other visitors can comment upon and rate those Web pages. The process is optimized for search engine results driving long tail keyword traffic and viral spread.

“Up until now,” says Ken Evoy, president of SiteSell.com, “Web 2.0 has been the playground of large companies which basically aggregate individuals and small businesses. Today, small business owners have the simple, powerful ability to increase content through others and use it to grow traffic and ‘buzz’ tremendously.”

Web 2.0 is a catchall term for user-generated content and interaction with viral spread. It has created legendary business success stories such as MySpace, flickr, and YouTube. But they are all ‘big company’ stories.

“Small business has been shut out of Web 2.0,” states Evoy. “They are limited to blogging and using YouTube and MySpace to increase traffic and revenues in small ways. Now they become ‘aggregators’ instead of ‘aggregatees.’ Blogging pales because the site owner still has to create all that content. With Content 2.0, visitors create original, high-value content, a tremendous leveraging of time and results.”

The depth and breadth of user-created content yields surprising results. At Wikipedia, contributors do the work, building new pages of keyword-rich material. Wikipedia gets the benefits of content and inbound links. Millions of Page 1 rankings at Google have pushed it to the 9th most visited site in the world (according to Alexa.com).

Evoy contends that what he calls “the rest of us” do not have the resources to create Web 2.0 platforms. Over one year in the making, Content 2.0 is that platform. SiteSell clients are already using it to create their own mini-MySpaces, turn sites into super-blogs or invite recipe submissions, beer reviews, etc. A ghost story site has even created BooTube, which invites video submissions. In SiteSell’s forums, users are already showing traffic stats that have doubled.

Web 2.0 and so-called ‘user-generated’ content has its detractors. They cite everything from the unreliability of Wikipedia and uncontrolled ‘splogging’ (spam blogs) to widely publicized issues on MySpace. Evoy says that all those problems stem from the lack of reasonable forms of control. “We studied all the major Web 2.0 companies, took the best, eliminated the worst, and then made it all simple to use.”

“You need an authority to maintain quality. Users of Content 2.0 cannot continuously overwrite each other like at Wikipedia. They don’t create “Profiles” and gossip like at MySpace. And they do much more than just upload photos. They build real value, content which an owner can easily control and monetize. That control is key.”

Submissions are presented to the site owner. She clicks to approve. It becomes a full-fledged Web page, optimally formatted and linked to other pages for high search engine rankings. The Sitemaps XML file is updated and pinged to the search engines, and the RSS feed is updated for blog subscribers. She can click to add Google AdSense ads. She can edit or delete a submission, and even delete-and-ban the visitor, preventing abuses while maintaining high quality.

Just like the large Web 2.0 successes, visitors who participate are notified when their pages have been published and when comments are posted about their pages. They comment back and forth on the site and are encouraged to spread the word through e-mail. Repeat visits, community and viral spread are the hallmarks of Web 2.0.

“Content 2.0 is automated, regulated, high-quality Web 2.0,” continues the passionate Evoy. “Like our flagship, Site Build It! , the complexity under the hood is intense. And ‘under the hood’ is where it belongs. Our small business customers never have to look there. They just focus on doing business.”

Evoy, heading into another meeting, looks back and says, “Small businesses have been the aggregatees for years. The money is in being the aggregator. Now small businesses can do it, in their niches, with quality and ease.”

Content 2.0 is available at SiteSell.com for the annual subscription price of $ 99 as an add-on module to Site Build It! (SBI!), SiteSell’s flagship business-building product. Television Veterans Zwick and Herskovitz Move to Produce Web-Only Show for MySpace Affirms Viability of New Internet Reality Show, ‘The Next Internet Millionaire’

Loveland, CO (PRWEB) September 13, 2007

Hollywood is beginning to jump on the web bandwagon, as Edward Zwick and Marshall Hersowitz, the creative minds behind “Thirtysomething” and “My So-Called Life” have announced that they will be launching a web-based show this fall.

But Hollywood is late to the party as independent producers and film-makers are already creating quality content for the web, with one particular studio leading the way.

InfoMedia, Inc., of Loveland, Colorado, has already adopted the web-only vision and is currently airing the world’s first competitive Internet reality show, “The Next Internet Millionaire” exclusively on the web at http://www.NextInternetMillionaire.com

“I am thrilled to see established producers making the move to create web-only content,” says Joel Comm, Host and Executive Producer of ‘The Next Internet Millionaire.’ “As the creator of the world’s first reality show designed specifically for the Internet, we’ve demonstrated that you can bring high production values and long-form video to the web.” Comm continues, “I am certain that we will be seeing more and more original programming in this new medium as creative talent strives to break the stranglehold that Hollywood and network television have on the entertainment industry.”

Receiving more site visitors than AmericanIdol.com, CBS.com and NBC.com on its premier day according to website rating service Alexa.com, “The Next Internet Millionaire” is being discussed on more than 90,000 web pages, according to Google, demonstrating it’s popularity and appeal to a mainstream audience hungry for original web-based entertainment.

To date, the major networks have found a new revenue stream by merely re-broadcasting their existing TV shows, but they have yet to produce a full-fledged made-for-internet series. In April, The New York Times reported that Mark Burnett (creator of Survivor and other reality series) might produce a political themed reality show to be hosted on MySpace in 2008. Whether it will happen remains to be seen, but if it does, it will not be the first reality show to hit the web.

Online video auditions were solicited earlier this year, with hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs applying for the opportunity to win $ 25,000 cash and a large-scale joint venture with Comm, a successful Internet businessman and author of the New York Times Best Seller, ‘The AdSense Code.’ Twelve contestants were culled from the auditions and brought on location to learn strategies and techniques for generating income online from the leading Internet marketing experts. The roster includes such prolific teachers as Mark Joyner, Armand Morin, Mike Filsaime, Rich Schefren, Marlon Sanders and Brad Fallon, all of whom regularly generate millions of dollars per year online.

The contestants include six men and six women from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Costa Rica. With varying levels of online experience, the contestants will learn from the experts and compete in a variety of individual and team challenges designed to test their leadership ability, persuasion skills, creativity, and other business related skills. The goal is to find the ideal joint venture partner for Comm.

The Next Internet Millionaire leverages the new media in ways that the major television networks have been unable to accomplish. Viewers may watch the show at their leisure by visiting the site at http://www.NextInternetMillionaire.com. This 24/7 distribution model, accompanied by programs of variable length, demonstrate how original long-form entertainment is rapidly transitioning to the web.

Currenly airing the fourth episode in the series created for reality fans of all ages, Comm’s original program entertains as well as educates how he and others generate millions of dollars on the Internet.

The Next Internet Millionaire is a joint venture between InfoMedia, Inc. and Eric Holmlund of Northern Colorado. InfoMedia, Inc. is a new media company based in Loveland, Colorado. Providing a twelve-year track record of building profitable Internet sites, InfoMedia leads the way in innovative, entertaining and educational uses of the Internet.

HowToDoThings.com Unveils Innovative, New Site And New Compensation Model For Writers

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 17, 2007

HowToDoThings.com, one of the fastest growing ‘how to’ sites, today announced the re-launch of their site after receiving an extremely enthusiastic response to their public beta. HowToDoThings.com also introduced a new compensation model that will pay writers 50 percent of the ad revenue generated from their articles.

With a more intuitive user interface and fast approval of submitted articles, HowToDoThings.com is now delivering a fresh approach for users to experience ‘how-to’ articles online. Having built the new site with their community in mind, HowToDoThings.com is making the writers a key part of the evolution of the site and keeping their interests top of mind. A new revenue model provides contributors with a greater revenue share than any other ‘how-to’ site currently on the web.

“We are very please to have received such a great response to the re-launch of our site,” said Erik Budde, General Manager, HowToDoThings.com. “By expanding the site organically and with the needs of our community in mind, we’ve been able to sustain healthy growth by maintaining enough editors to keep up with the supply and demand of content. This allows articles of the highest quality to continue flowing on a daily basis, ensuring our contributors get their articles posted quickly and visitors to the site are always greeted with fresh material.”

HowToDoThings.com users, community members, and article contributors are applauding the latest site design and new compensation model. They are finding success in key areas including:

—> Quick turnaround: While many sites take weeks and months to post articles, HowToDoThings.com posts articles in days, if not hours, ensuring maximum exposure and revenue opportunities for contributed content.

—> Bylines/Bios Exposure and Greater Revenue: In comparison to other sites that pay for content, HowToDoThings.com offers the highest revenue share–50 percent of Google AdSense Revenue–and continues to allow contributors to promote their websites, online businesses, forums, and blogs through their bylines, which are attached to more in-depth bio pages.

—> High Quality Articles: HowToDoThings.com seeks out experts on topics. The writers on HowToDoThings.com are not only contributors, they are well established in the areas that they are writing about.

“The new site is very professionally done and runs well,” said Susan Biddy, community member of HowToDoThings.com. “The new design is clean and easy to read. And while the ads are a source of revenue for contributors, they are not distracting to the page, which I think is a huge turn off for most visitors. Best of all, anytime I have ever needed a correction or had a question, someone at HowToDoThings.com has responded immediately.”

“HowToDoThings.com continues to foster the highest quality content with their newly launched site,” said Elizabeth Grace, community member of HowToDoThings.com. “The community is teeming with writers who have proven, first-hand, knowledge of the topics that they cover. Some other sites simply hire writers who research the subject matter and then write articles. Unfortunately, many of these articles are simply re-writes of existing Internet articles, not all of which are based on fact or filled with useful, quality information.”

Unlike other ‘how-to’ web sites written by staff writers, HowToDoThings.com contributors are hobbyists, professionals, and experts in their given fields, providing visitors to the site with real world experiences. Currently the site offers more than 3,500 ‘how-to’ articles.

With nearly 15 unique visitors every minute, HowToDoThings.com is fast becoming a top destination for people looking for the answers to their questions. This growth has been fueled by the strong relationship the site has built with its contributors and audience. The driving force of this is the clear guidelines and easy contribution process, allowing well-qualified contributors to earn exposure and money on topics they are most passionate about.

About HowToDoThings.com

HowToDoThings.com strives to solve people’s everyday problems by compiling reliable information from experienced contributors and making it available to inexperienced readers. It’s simple: We’re a community sharing its expertise to solve people’s problems.

UK Web Developer Releases Adsense Alternative Software

Milton Keynes, Bucks, UK (PRWEB) September 30, 2007

Imnicasoft.com – a UK Web Developer Company, release interesting web based software – AfterSense – which claims will be the next Adsense Alternative.

By placing Adsense Contextual ads on their site or blog, site publishers and bloggers earn a little share of Google income. But Google only pays publisher when their site visitors click those tiny little ads.

Site publishers and bloggers are trying hard to collect nickels from Google Adsense. Unfortunately for many publisher with an average traffic, collecting even 100$ per month from Google Adsense is very hard.

Many publishers who hate to see their Adsense Earning at a very low speed, tend to click the ads by them self. And Google will ban those publishers.

The Author of AfterSense claims that by switching to their software, site owners and blog publishers can cut Google completely out of the loop by doing just two things…

1) Sign up for affiliate programs that convert well and pay high commissions. And…

2) Use AfterSense to display tiny text ads on their site, instead of Google’s Adsense.

Many blog publishers have started using AfterSense, because instead of collecting nickels from Google Adsense, they get between 50% – 70% commissions from affiliate program.

With the same traffic to their site or blog, AfterSense increases their earning potential.

By placing a little HTML snippet provided by AfterSense, any matching keywords or key phrase on their site or blogs will change into a clickable link with a pop up display of the ad.

AfterSense takes advantage of web 2.0 techniques to be non-intrusive and interactive at the same time.

Regarding technical specifications, AfterSense uses PHP, MySQL and JavaScript.

Publishers, Affiliates and Bloggers Turning to New E-Commerce Ad Widgets from ”WidgetBucks”: New Ad Network Serving Contextual Shopping Widgets That Outperform Traditional Ad Networks and Integrate with Facebook

SEATTLE (PRWEB) October 2, 2007

Ecommerce: MySpace Gold Rush

Spotsylvania, VA (PRWEB) October 3, 2007

In a study performed in the 3rd quarter of 2007 by Wordze keyword research service, Wordze (http://www.wordze.com) found that 18% of 135,000 searches performed by webmasters where researching keywords in the Music industry. With the most common keywords being related to music lyrics, music ringtones, and music downloads.

While most webmasters where interested in developing services for popular keywords in the music industry, 14% of them where interested in keywords related to the dating industry, or where planning to develop a service like MySpace within the next 12 months.

With the explosive growth in Music and Dating research, Wordze’s founder Levi Thornton speculates, “The increased interest in these markets probably have more to do with the sale of MySpace, and the publishing of Markus Friend making more than $ 10,000 dollars a day in Google Adsense with his social network site.”

While the majority of webmasters where interested in Music and Dating, a smaller but noticeable percent where interested in developing websites related to Mortgages, Diet & Body Products, as well as eBay sites.

Levi also added, “With this new data at Wordze, it will be easy for customers to not only know what keywords to target on Google, but also be able to know what markets are going to provide a greater return on their investments, and what markets they will want to avoid for the time being.”

About Wordze:

Wordze.com “King of Keywords” is a keyword research service by Mad Frog Productions, Inc. and provides data on users search patterns and competitor data on the search engines. Since the launch of Wordze in Oct 2006, it has seen explosive growth in its customer base and in a recent poll by toprankblog.com Wordze was ranked in the top three for the most favorite keyword research tools online.

One Buck Wiki Sells Over 700 Pages in Just 5 Days Since its Launch

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 17, 2007

Zedomax Network, a San Francisco-based Web2.0 company, has launched a new website called OneBuckWiki.com on October 12th. Users can buy a page for only one dollar to promote their blog, e-store, or any other website(s). There is a strong buzz among some of the eBay Store owners that the One Buck Wiki might be the next marketing tool.

According to the One Buck Wiki’s founders, they have sold hundreds of pages to E-bay store owners. “eBay store owners need a low-cost internet marketing tool to promote their products and the One Buck Wiki does just that at only one dollar,” says Max, the company’s founder.

Since their launch a week ago, the One Buck Wiki does seem to have excited the Internet crowd, selling over 700 pages, averaging over 100 pages per day. The One Buck Wiki team has worked 3 days without sleep just to keep up with the overflow of page orders.

Smart users of the One Buck Wiki have made their money back by pasting interesting content and Google AdSense ads onto their pages. Some users have even bought their own names in order to reserve their spot in history.

Why are these pages so valuable?

Users can buy a page for only 1 dollar (limited time only). As page owners, they can promote a blog, e-store or any other website(s). The page(s) users buy will solely have their content and no one else’s. The value of all pages will go up to $ 10 per page once when they have sold 1000 pages.

“The One Buck Wiki forecasts to sell total of 2000 pages by the end of this month at the current rate. This could mean that a page bought today could be worth 10 times its value within the end of this month when One Buck Wiki has sold over 2000 pages,” says Max, the One Buck Wiki’s founder. There are still pages that can be bought on the One Dollar Wiki before the price of a page jumps to ten dollars.

The One Buck Wiki was created by the creators of the Five Dollar Wiki (FiveDollarWiki.com), which was also launched several days before the launch of One Buck Wiki. They are a team of underground “moonlighters” that work around the clock to create the next Internet marketing tool.

A number of similar paid Wikis exist out there today including the MDW (MillionDollarWiki.com) and the MEW (MillionEuroWiki.com). The MillionDollarWiki does seem to have excited the Internet crowd, with some customers buying up to 15 pages at a time. Pages have even been traded, with the “Business” page selling on eBay for $ 6100.

Basically, the difference between the MillionDollarWiki and the OneBuckWiki is that a person can buy a page for one dollar instead of one hundred dollars.

The One Dollar Wiki might be the best investment today for anyone who needs web presence or a web page at only one dollar.
