Consumer Product Innovation Lab Invites New Product Companies to Bentonville, Arkansas, April 27-29 to Learn from the Pros

Bentonville, AR (PRWEB) April 24, 2012

This weekend, the country?s foremost experts on consumer product innovation and marketing will bring inventors and entrepreneurs from all over the country to Bentonville, Arkansas for its ?Selling to the Masses? workshop.

The workshop will be taught by some of the most experienced and respected names in retailing and consumer product marketing, and provides an answer to the high number of consumer products that are launched annually but fail to succeed.

According to a study by Harvard Business School, 30,000 new consumer products are launched each year and 95% of them fail. Selling to the Masses is designed to change that statistic.

?Selling to the Masses and the affiliated Consumer Product Innovation Lab have the potential to dramatically increase the success rate of all the new products that go to market each year by arming early stage companies with the tools, resources, and connections they need to go to market,? states Matt Fifer, co-founder of the Consumer Product Innovation Lab.

Bentonville, Arkansas is not only home to the world?s largest retailer, Walmart, but also to more than 1,200 of the most successful consumer brand teams.

?There is nowhere in the world with a greater concentration of knowledge and experience when it comes to taking consumer products to market,? Fifer continues.

Instructors and guest speakers include current and former executives from some of the world?s most successful retailers and consumer product companies.

Space is limited but early stage consumer product companies can still register for the April 27 to 29 workshop. Applications for the Consumer Product Innovation Lab will be made available to course attendees.

Survey Research Shows Steady Commitment to New Year’s Resolutions in 2012

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 19, 2012

Polaris Marketing Research Inc. announced today findings from their most recent survey of 1,228 online Americans, supported by Research Now for data collection and analysis. With the first quarter of the calendar year behind us, it seemed timely to explore New Year?s Resolutions and whether people who make those resolutions are continuing to work on them.

Interestingly, 62 percent of these online Americans did not make a New Year?s Resolution. Among the 38 percent who did, respondents were significantly more likely to be female (42 percent versus 33 percent for males) and under age 50 (43 percent versus 26 percent making resolutions among the 50+ set.) Additionally, respondents who are married are significantly less likely to make New Year?s Resolutions (35 percent versus 40 percent for single people and 50 percent for respondents who are living with another person).

The most frequent New Year?s Resolution is to exercise more (for 58 percent of respondents who made New Year?s Resolutions), followed closely by lose weight (52 percent). ?While most online Americans did not bother to make New Year?s Resolutions in 2012, those who did seem to be taking them fairly seriously,? said Polaris President Jan Carlson. ?But clearly, quitting smoking is the most difficult resolution to stick with.?

While only 20 percent of respondents who resolved to quit smoking indicate they are making steady progress, no respondent has yet thrown in the towel on that resolution. Losing weight and exercising more see more respondents still working on their effort (56 percent and 53 percent, respectively), but 2 percent of respondents who made the resolution to lose weight have already given up!

Spending more time with family and friends is easily the most accomplished resolution, with 68 percent of respondents making this resolution saying that they are making steady progress.
