A docu-reality series on American families, an investigative series on ?Criminal Psychology? and segment series helping returning military veterans of war are timely and unavailable elsewhere
Leading Emotional Dynamics expert, Dr. Erik Fisher, ?Dr. E??, Atlanta-based licensed psychologist and author, who last month announced an agreement to co-author a book on Child Sexual Abuse with best-selling author Peter Occhiogrosso, is in the latter stage of development on two television series that explore different aspects of the world of psychology. Confirming his place as an expert in the field with his understanding of human behavior and emotion in any number of life settings, Dr E? has appeared on major networks, including FOX affiliates, providing advice for parents and families and several segments on CNN?s Newsroom and HLN?s Prime News. More recently he has provided commentary with Vinnie Politan on the topics of the Josh Powell murder-suicide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zRmFL2AuGM&feature=youtu.be) and the Casey Anthony video blog (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKaH5cG4-Fc) of note. The balanced nature of his commentary and incisive insights are making him a household name and respected analyst in the media industry.
Both series are in development and have been pitched to top cable channels and networks through Dr. E??s management company, CMG Holdings Group Inc. (CMGO), Creative Management Group Inc. Agency and Alan Morell, who met with network and cable executives at NATPE and the recent Reel Screen conference in Washington, D.C. ?We?re very confident that cable and network programming executives are looking seriously at our projects with Dr. E?, and we look forward to exploring additional opportunities for these properties with other outlets,? commented Morell, Chairman and CEO of CMG Holdings Group, Inc. Creative Management Group Inc. Agency.
The first program under consideration involves Dr. E??s extensive experience with parents and families. The Family Fix is a one-hour docu-reality series that rises above the fray of many reality shows dealing with families. Based on his two decades of work with children, parents and families and his parenting book, The Art of Empowered Parenting: The Manual You Wish Your Kids Came With, The Family Fix will incorporate Dr. E??s unique brand of therapy, featured in his web series, Off the Couch with Dr. E? to help families understand what ails them.
The second program, Anatomy of a Criminal, is an investigative series chronicling some of the bigger criminal cases in our news today. But rather than explore the ins and outs of their trials and legal cases, as so many other programs do, Anatomy will delve into the psychology of criminals, their cases and the supporting cast involved in these cases. The show aims to help a curious society understand what makes a criminal tick. Revealing a side of the story not available through network news or legal opinions, Anatomy of a Criminal promises to keep the audience hungry for each episode.
Both series in development are co-created and Directed by Clio Award-winning Director Richard D?Alessio of http://www.kontagious.tv, who added, “I am excited to bring these projects into production, and firmly believe that Dr. E? will have a powerful impact on the media and minds of America. His creativity and passion for his work are impressive.”
Dr. E? enjoys philanthropy and is proud to announce his appointment as a Director of The ArtReach Foundation, a non-profit, whose mission is to influence, through creative expression and art, the growth and development of those who?ve experienced the traumatic effects of war. Related to ArtReach, Project America’s Jim Proeller, former Senior Director of Editorial Operations at CNN, and Dr. E? are working to develop a series of news segments highlighting the many needs of military returning home and the programs available to help them re-assimilate to civilian life. These segments will explore the emotional, financial, educational and relational challenges of soldiers who’re now stateside, and their re-introduction to home life. It will hopefully help educate them to the resources across the country that are available to them.
